1. Introduction
Welcome to ReportAfrica.
ReportAfrica is a citizen journalism, community reporting, local news, business announcements, campus journalism, events, education, and creator monetization platform operating across Africa.
ReportAfrica is owned and operated by TRADILINK AFRICA SOLUTION LIMITED ("ReportAfrica," "we," "our," or "us"), a company duly incorporated under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of:

- www.reportafrica.africa
- Mobile applications
- APIs and related services
By accessing or using ReportAfrica, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.
2. Eligibility
To use ReportAfrica, you must:
- Be at least the minimum legal age in your country (16+ or as required by local law)
- Have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
- Not be prohibited from using the platform under applicable laws
We may request age verification at any time.
3. Account Registration and Security
When creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Keep your login credentials secure
- Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
- Notify us immediately of unauthorized access
We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorized account use.
4. User Content and Responsibility
Users may post content including:
- News reports
- Articles
- Photos and videos
- Comments
- Business listings
- Event information
- Audio content
- Livestreams
You retain ownership of your content but grant ReportAfrica a:
Worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, reproduce, distribute, display, and promote your content for the operation and improvement of the platform.
You are solely responsible for content you post.
5. Content Rules and Restrictions
You agree NOT to post, upload, or distribute content that:
- Contains hate speech, harassment, or discrimination
- Incites violence or criminal activity
- Is false, misleading, or deliberately manipulative
- Violates privacy rights of others
- Infringes intellectual property rights
- Contains explicit sexual content (especially involving minors)
- Promotes fraud, scams, or deceptive practices
- Contains spam, unsolicited advertising, or malware
- Attempts to manipulate trust scores or ranking systems
We reserve the right to remove content at our discretion.
6. Community Reporting and Trust System
ReportAfrica uses a trust and verification system powered by automated tools and human moderation.
This system may:
- Rank content based on credibility signals
- Promote verified or high-quality reports
- Reduce visibility of misleading or spam content
- Restrict accounts that repeatedly violate rules
Trust scores are internal system metrics and may be adjusted at any time.
7. Platform Moderation and Enforcement
We reserve the right to:
- Remove or restrict content
- Suspend or terminate accounts
- Limit platform access
- Investigate suspicious activity
These actions may occur with or without prior notice, especially in cases involving:
- Fraud
- Harmful misinformation
- Legal violations
- Security risks
8. Payments, Donations, and Monetization
ReportAfrica supports multiple payment and earning features including:
- Donations and community fundraising campaigns
- Tips from readers to reporters
- Reporter subscriptions (Pro, Elite, Legend tiers)
- Fan Subscriptions (Basic and Premium tiers — reporters earn 80%, platform takes 20%)
- Media licensing fees (50% standard / 70% Certified reporters)
- Bounty rewards (paid from platform pool on admin approval)
- Assignment Desk rewards (paid from platform pool on admin approval)
- Breaking News bonuses (paid instantly from platform pool when report is marked breaking)
- Weekly Ad Revenue Pool distributions (top reporters per country, every Monday)
- Monthly Trust Bonus distributions (Certified reporters, 1st of every month)
- Reporter Marketplace commissions (80% Trained / 85% Certified reporters)
- Category Sponsorship rewards (automatic per qualifying report)
- Ticketed Live Stream revenue (80% Trained / 85% Certified reporters)
- Course purchases and Academy enrollment fees
- Referral cash rewards
- Business and government subscription fees
All payments are processed through third-party payment providers (Paystack and KoraPay).
8a. Escrow and Marketplace Commissions
When a client commissions a reporter through the Reporter Marketplace, the agreed budget is held in escrow via Paystack until the reporter delivers the work and the client approves it. ReportAfrica is not a party to the commission agreement between client and reporter. We facilitate the escrow and payout only. Disputes between clients and reporters must be raised with support@reportafrica.africa. Escrowed funds are not released until a resolution is reached.
8b. Bounties and Assignments
Bounty and assignment rewards are paid from platform-managed pools. Rewards are only paid on approved submissions. ReportAfrica reserves the right to reject submissions that do not meet the stated brief. Rejected submissions do not receive payment. Bounties that expire before being claimed are cancelled and the reward is returned to the pool. Assignment rewards are forfeited if the deadline passes without a valid submission.
8c. General Payment Terms
- Payments are generally non-refundable unless required by law
- ReportAfrica is not responsible for disputes between users and creators outside of the escrow process
- Creators and reporters are responsible for how funds are used once disbursed
- We may delay or withhold payouts for fraud prevention, compliance checks, or account violations
- Earning rates and platform fees may be updated at any time with notice posted on the platform
- Reporters are responsible for any tax obligations arising from earnings received through the platform
9. Advertising and Sponsored Content
ReportAfrica may display:
- Sponsored posts
- Ads
- Brand campaigns
- Promoted content
- Category Sponsorships — where businesses pay a reward per qualifying report in a sponsored category
Advertisers and sponsors are responsible for their content. We do not guarantee accuracy of third-party advertisements.
Category Sponsorship rewards are paid automatically to reporters who publish qualifying reports. ReportAfrica does not guarantee the availability or continuation of any sponsorship.
We may moderate or remove ads that violate our policies.
10. Intellectual Property
All platform content, including:
- Logos
- Design systems
- Software
- Branding
- Features
are owned by or licensed to TRADILINK AFRICA SOLUTION LIMITED.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform without permission.
11. AI and Automated Systems
ReportAfrica uses automated systems and artificial intelligence to:
- Detect fake news or spam
- Flag harmful content
- Improve content ranking
- Support moderation decisions
These systems assist human moderation but do not fully replace it.
12. Privacy
Your use of ReportAfrica is also governed by our Privacy Policy available at:

13. Third-Party Services
ReportAfrica integrates with third-party services such as:
- Payment providers
- Cloud infrastructure providers
- Analytics tools
- Messaging and notification services
We are not responsible for third-party service failures or policies.
14. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or permanently terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms
- You engage in fraudulent activity
- You misuse the platform
- Required by law or regulatory authorities
You may also stop using the platform at any time.
15. Disclaimer of Warranties
ReportAfrica is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We do not guarantee:
- Continuous availability
- Error-free operation
- Accuracy of user-generated content
- Absence of harmful content
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
TRADILINK AFRICA SOLUTION LIMITED shall not be liable for:
- Loss of data
- Loss of income or profits
- Damages resulting from user content
- Platform interruptions or errors
- Actions of other users
17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TRADILINK AFRICA SOLUTION LIMITED from any claims, damages, or losses arising from:
- Your use of the platform
- Your content
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any law or third-party rights
18. Compliance with Laws
You agree to comply with all applicable laws in your country of residence and any jurisdiction where you access ReportAfrica.
19. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Disputes shall be resolved in competent courts within Nigeria, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
20. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time.
Updates will be posted on:

Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
